The Legend of the Grail has spawned many tales throughout the last 800 years. Not many people know that Scotland is reputed to be the resting place of the grail and a safe haven of the Knights Templar. We'll cross the Firth of Forth into the Kingdom of Fife and pay homage to King Robert the Bruce, at Dunfermline Abbey. After a stop for coffee we'll travel west into the shadows of the Fortress of Stirling. Our lunch will be taken here with time to visit Stirling Castle (not included) or explore the city centre. After lunch we'll pass the battlefield of Bannockburn and head back towards Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills. At the foot of the hills is Rosslyn Chapel (not included), the reputed resting place of the legend that is the Holy Grail, made famous by Dan Brown's book The Da Vinci Code. This is the templar holy of holies and you'll have the chance to bask in it's mystery and explore the chapel for yourself.
