This itinerary will take you across the plain of Crau to the Grand Rhone riverbank where stands the ancient city of Arles (UNESCO World Heritage). On the footpaths of Van Gogh, you will discover the Roman remains with the amphitheater called Arenas and the ancient theater, Saint-Trophime church (carved doorway from 12th century), the Forum Square and Van Gogh's Cafe. Later, on the road that leads you to Les Baux de Provence, you will make a photo stop at the abbey of Montmajour (entrance ticket not included). Free time for lunch (not included) on your own in the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence. In the afternoon, visit an olive property and have an olive-oil tasting before continuing toward Saint Remy de Provence. Photo stop at the Roman monuments called The Antiques (Triumphal Arch and funerary monument) located in a olive-tree field, landscape painted several times by Van Gogh. Possibility to visit the mental hospital of Saint-Paul de Mausole where the painter was confined.
