Firstly we visit the magnificent Byzantine church of St Sophia, one of the finest architectural works in the world, this church has been nominated as the 8th wonder of the world by many historians. Then continue to the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul. Dating back to the 17th century, this is one of the principal adornments on the skyline of Istanbul and is also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. We will also visit the Hippodrome, the former centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople. During the visit you will be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi and the fountain of Willhelm II. Our final visit of the morning is to the Grand Bazaar, which in addition to its historical importance, is a bazaar that will tempt you with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs. During your tour you will also visit a leather or carpet shop and see Suleymaniye Mosque.

Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, instead you will visit the open-air bazaar. St. Sophia is closed on Mondays - instead we visit the Underground Cistern. If your hotel is located on the Asia side of Istanbul (eg Marriott Asia) a supplement will apply for your hotel pick up and drop off. Payment of this extra to be paid directly to the supplier. The supplier will advise you of this at the time of reconfirmation. If you do not wish to pay this extra you can be picked up from a central location in Istanbul. 1st May due to demonstrations around Taksim Square, hotel pickup from this area won't be possible. Grand Bazaar and Spice Market will be closed from 8-10 August and 15-18 October 2013. Blue Mosque is closed on Fridays as such you will visit little Hagia Sophia.
