The tour is starting from the rental cycle terminal nearby Kyoto station. You will pass "Miyagawa-cho" and "Gion" which are the main center of Kyoto's Geisha world. The stone pavement and traditional houses, you can feel the history and culture of Kyoto. Then you will go to the path along with Shirakawa river to the northern part of Kyoto. After Shirakawa river path, you will see the huge grand shrine gate of "Heian Jingu Shrine". Heian Jingu Shrine has beautiful and traditional Japanese style buildings. On the way back, you will go to the path along the Kamo river. People of Kyoto love Kamo river just for walking, relaxing.. etc. As the highlight of this tour, the last stop is "MARUMASU NISHIMURAYA YUZEN KOBO" where you will see and try Japanese traditional method of stencil-dyeing fabrics. You will try to make your own handkerchief with your favorite color and draw. Back to the rental cycle terminal, when the total 12kms bicycle tour ends.

Please present your voucher at Kyoto Station Cycle Terminal. After you go through the Kyoto Station Chuo (central) exit, make left and go straight. After you walk about 300meters (past BIC CAMERA-a big electronics store on your left and APA hotel on your right), turn right at the end of street. Then you will see the Kyoto Station Cycle Terminal. You need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Participant whose height is lower than 100 centimeters (approximate 3 feet 3 inches) can not join this tour. Itinerary might be changed depending on weather or traffic condition. In case of rain, the tour will be operated as a walking tour(You will walk and use public transportation). During the New Years period (from the 29th December to 03rd of January), MARUMASU NISHIMURAYA YUZEN KOBO is closed and we will stop at a cafe instead.
