In the morning, drive to the Forbidden City. It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient imperial residence in China today. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 2 hours. Next you'll visit the Temple of Heaven, dedicated to rituals that pay homage to the glory of heaven. After a 1.5 hour visit you will then proceed to a centre to enjoy Chinese traditional Silk arts. It is well known that silk was discovered in China as one of the best materials for clothing - it has a look and feeling of richness that no other materials can match. It will then be time for lunch at a local Chinese restaurant before we commence the drive to the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in the world that boasts centralized architectural masterpieces as well as scenic beauties. The long corridor and marble boat at the Summer Palace will impress any visitor. Here you will spend approximately 1.5 hours discovering this royal beauty before being taken back to your hotel in Beijing.
